Some parents choose to send their children to private schools that are not funded by the government. These schools charge tuition fees. While sending your child to a private school may be your preferred choice, you should be aware that principals and teachers in private schools are not necessarily certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. |

Sudbury Christian Academy began as the Sudbury Christian Day School in 1981. A group of parents who were concerned about their children's education got together with some local pastors to discuss the possibility of opening a private school. The school has been operating at Glad Tidings Tabernacle for over 10 years and about 8 years ago, the church agreed to enter into a partnership with the school.
